The central theme in the course is the concept of risk and the process of risk management, from the perspective of a safety and security manager in an organisation. We will investigate this from both safety (accidents) and security (attacks) perspectives.
This course is part of the Security, safety and justice minor.
From 2017-2018, this course will be combined with WM0821TU.
Some notes on the mathematical basics of risk.
- Please note that, as the study guide says, this course is only for those registered for the SSJ minor. If you're not registered, you cannot take the course without special permission.
- For the lecture on Monday September 4, read Ben Ale chapters 1-2 and 5. The corresponding reading questions will be posted on Brightspace.
- Make sure you sign up for the exam in TUDelft Osiris on time! Registration for the course does NOT imply registration for the exam.
- Leiden students, make sure you have a guest account for TUDelft and enroll for the course in Brightspace.
