GPU acceleration of the PWTD algorithm for application in high-frequency
communication and fotonics
Rory Gravendeel
Site of the project: TU Delft
Supervisor TU Delft: Kristof Cools
start of the project: January 2019
In April 2019 the
Interim Thesis
has appeared
and a
presentation
has been given.
The Master project has been finished in August 2020
by the completion of the
Masters Thesis
and a final
presentation
has been given.
For working address etc. we refer to our
alumnipage.
Summary of the master project:
Scatter-like physical phenomena are quite difficult to model, due to the
high computational cost that for
instance a Marching-On-in-Time algorithm would require. To reduce the
computational cost, I will be applying
the Plane-Wave Time-Domain algorithm to MOT and run it on GPU's. PWTD
will be applied in both a two-level and a
multi-level algorithm.
