In March 2016 the Interim Thesis has appeared and a presentation has been given.

The Master project has been finished in November 2016 by the completion of the Masters Thesis and a final presentation has been given.

Summary of the master project:
Various solvers are known for water level prediction of seas and oceans. These solvers are all based on some form of the Shallow Water Equations. At the other hand there is also some software developed to prediction flooding of low lying countries when a dike is broken. Both problems are difficult and can take a lot of computing time. In this project we investigate if it is possible to couple both simulators. There are some approaches known, however due to excessive computing times they can only be used for 1-10 kilometers of shores. We try to make these solvers more efficient such that hundreds of kilometers of shores can be taken into account.
