Summary of the master project:
With the objective being simulation of fluid flows on complex geometries, this MSc
project will develop immersed finite elements with divergence conforming B-splines as the
foundation. This will lead to a numerical method that lies within the abstract framework of finite
element exterior calculus, which describes how to perform well-posed, structure-preserving
discretizations for a large class of PDEs that arise from differential complexes.
