Groups#

Group formation, setup preference#

The project is done in groups of two students each. After the first lecture, we’ll share a link on Brightspace through which you can hand in your group details. The requested details include:

  • Name, student number, NetID and email address of both group members;

  • Your five preferred setups, ordered by preference.

The information should be filled in an .ods spreadsheet file. Please do not make any changes to this file, except for the fields that are intended to be changed. Please save the file as .ods (Microsoft Excel may ask you if you’d like to save it as .xlsx, click ‘No’) and upload it following the directions that will be posted on Brightspace at the end of week 1.

The division of the setups is announced in the beginning of week 2.

Division of time in the lab#

As there will be three different groups that share one physical copy of the setup, some arrangements will need to be made regarding which group can use the setup at which times. In week 2, please exchange your contact details to negotiate a fair and even division of the available time. An example division can be found in the table below.

We advise you to not book whole days in the lab, as this may limit the time that you spend on actually analyzing problems rather than blindly trying new approaches.
