Discussions#
In addition to asking help from the assistants in the lab, there are two more formal progress meetings that every group is required to have.
During these meetings, we intend to:
discuss your ongoing progress,
give you the opportunity to ask questions about your project.
Ideally, the group prepares a short (few minutes) presentation about their work in the past weeks, and the current problems they try to solve.
The meetings take place in the lab, and span 30 minutes each. There will be one lecturer, and both group members are required to attend.
You can schedule a time slot by means of a sheet that will be posted in the lab (on the whiteboard), in the week before the meetings are intended to take place.
First Discussion#
During the first discussion, the following topics may be relevant:
calibration of sensors, acutators,
mathematical model of system dynamics,
experiment design for System Identification / Parameter Estimation.
(possibly) first results of SysID/PE experiments.
Second Discussion#
The second discussion serves to discuss:
results of the SysID/PE experiments,
plan for feedback control design,
control objectives,
(possibly) first results of control design,
questions about report/assessment.
