Course Objectives

Teaching control without experiments is like music without sound.

In this course, you will learn how to:

• Integrate knowledge gained in theoretical MSc courses:

  • Modeling and system identification;

  • Filtering and state estimation;

  • Control design and performance evaluation.

• Apply your knowledge to a laboratory setup:

  • Gain hands-on experience with the application of control theory;

  • Gain a better understanding of the theory trough linking it to the physical world;

  • Learn to use MATLAB and Simulink effectively.
